tidying up

i am such a bloody perfectionist! i've been fiddling with the settings again, making things look a bit prettier. the archives are now monthly, as the weekly ones were taking up a bundle of space on the side there, plus the dates looked all inconsistant thanks to some of the gaps in my posting.

let's just hope i don't go AWOL for more than a month ;)
