One of Those Weeks

You know when you have one of those weeks, the sort of week that starts, it hits the fan, and then continues hitting the fan on a daily basis.

Yeah, that's our week so far... This morning is the first time that I've managed to get up and just "sit" at the computer. It took me ten minutes, while laying in bed, to work out if it was actually Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I was a little surprised at the fact I have nearly 700 emails to plough though (saying no names), and have been plodding through them since 5.30am.

So, what's happening in Chez 0ddness?

  • - Jaysen is still poorly and has been off all week. I blame ManFlu
  • - Tam has been post-injection poorly, and very unhappy
  • - My computer has been wobbly and in bits for two days thanks to a constant crashing
  • - Parts of the house are falling apart/off/breaking
  • - The computer room needed re-arranging once again - another day of no computer
  • - Post-Furniture Shifting knackered me out, so I spent a day on the sofa with Jaysen
So all fun. Jaysen has a temperature, coughing, sneezing, moaning and groaning and is not a happy little lad. One minute he's looking better, the next he just curls up and flakes out - not a Jaysen thing to do. Tam probably has the bug coming as she's acting not-happy. As well as the Terrible Twos graduating towards Evil Threes.

After much poking and proding on my computer - which has been crashing constantly during the week, it turns out my graphics card fan has gone - so now the side is off and there is a desk fan constantly blowing on it. As for the house, aside from being chaos, we've had a door fall off the hinges, as well as building a temporary barricade in the garden as the fallen fence is still down for the count. We're going to be fixed "shortly" apparently.

As for the computer room, we had a cramped-space-mishap involving Jaysen, a chair, gravity and his back meeting the edge of a table, so we had to rearrange again. Of course, this meant stripping everything out - furniture, computers, wires etc, then putting it all back in, rearranging, re-rearranging and so on. And of course, shifting crap around for a day completely wiped me out for the next day.

All in all, I want a coffee, a blanky, and some nice happy-pills.

Have the coffee - and now!

Oh, and try out a mac. I'd never go back to having a PC. My mac's never crashed and I never get troubled with all that virus shite.
