Why?!

A few days ago, about 50 yards from my front door, a man skidded his car on some ice.  He managed to crash into a lamp post and mess up the front of his car.  But because the silly sod wasn't wearing a seatbelt, he was a bit banged up - well, enough to warrant a trip to hospital in an ambulance.  It made exactly NO news, aside from the sharing of information in the newsagents...

On the same day, some footballer crashes his car, NO ONE is hurt, NO ONE else is involved, and he still managed to carry on to his training session - yet it makes all the national papers, is on the TV news, and is all over the internet news sites, and most likely made international news to boot...

Now is it because A) He's a "famous person", B) He crashed a very nice car, or C) Because the world is WAY too focused on "celebs".

I know where my money is going...
