Musical "Monday" #139 - Pretty Vacant

In relation to some styles of music, I am considered rather young. I was born in the late 70s, and didn't really notice much in the way of "music" until the mid-to late 80s, and let's be honest, that isn't the best...

Being a child of the 70s, I missed the Punk stuff. And to be honest, I can honestly say, I don't think I missed much. Yes yes, I am sure some of you are putting your safety pins through your collective noses, ready to stomp on me, but...

Don't get me wrong, much like a lot of genres of music, I don't mind some of it. The same goes for Ska music, two-tone stuff... It doesn't do it for me. My limit on that side of things is a lot of the stuff by Madness, but even then, I skip some of their songs too.

For some reason today, however, my brain is a child of the 70s, and is head-butting people, gobbing on other like-minded, boot-stomping, spiky-haired punks. I have no idea why it's in my head, but then, I usually have no clue what is going on in my brain. If my head wants to listen to the Sex Pistols, then so be it...

But I've started to tune him out to be honest, before he leads me astray ;)

The Sex Pistols - Pretty Vacant

And yes, I am fully aware that my Musical Monday posts have not been coming out on a Monday of late... I keep forgetting to do them, and unless I remember over the weekend, my brain usually glosses over Monday as Monday. All my days are much the same thing, the same routine, and I get confused. The only difference my brain registers are "Kids here, Kids not here. Kellie here, Kellie not here" "Same Shit, Different Day" I believe is the correct term ;)
