Bye Bye Weekend

I'm not sure why nor how, but my weekend seems to last precisely 2 hours and 47 minutes, not 48 hours. I finally got to sleep in on Saturday, and didn't arise till nearly 11am - which for me is a huge deal as I am normally up at some ungodly hour, weekend or not. It might have had something to do with the painkillers I took Friday night. Of course, me and sleeping don't get on. I either sleep for a few hours and then wake up feeling tired, or I sleep for a lot of hours, and wake up feeling like someone is sticking screwdrivers into my spine and legs.

Which is why I tend to get 4-6 hours sleep at night.

Anyways, had a pretty "veg out" weekend, not much to report. Glorious weather, out and about, on the computer - just nice to not rush around doing stuff.

Of course, then Monday hit, and it was go-go-go from the start. Nearly late for school, had to grab some stuff for Ruth from the shops, we went back to hers, then headed home, where Jo had to go shopping with Amber for her weekend away. They came home and started to dye Ambers hair, while I had to go and sit through almost two hours of school kids line dancing. Now, Jaysens year - not too bad. They've been doing it a while now, so know the steps and such like. The year below... Well, take 70 kids, put on some music, have an old lady shout stuff at them, and watch them go. Reception (which I think is kinda like Kindergarten) just ran around laughing.

And did I mention that me and Tam had to sit through this in the blazing sun. Not a bit of shade to be had, so being a fatman, I was sweating, Tam had her buggy which has it's hood, so she wasn't too bad, but damn it was hot.

And then last night I was in bed before 10pm. I don't care what goes on today, I ain't doing nuffin.

(PS, here in England we've got HOT weather - pushing 100 degrees here today! YAY!)

Pretty much every morning including weekends I'm up at 5:30am. It's terrible. On the plus side though it gives me a bit of quiet time before the little tornado wakes up.

Ahhh yes, completely with you on the Calm Before The Storm part. The crack of dawn is a very peaceful time, especially in the summer!
