Happy New Year!

So, with us just fifteen hours from 2007, and Tim - thanks to living on that desert we call Australia - only with a few hours left, I'd like to wish all of you a very Happy New Year. May 2007 bring you, well, nice stuff, really. Smiles, Happiness, Friendship, Love - whatever it is you need or are lacking, then I hope you get it.

2006, then, has been... What's the word... Shit? No. Awful? Nope. Interesting, I think is the best way to sum it up, personally, family, internationally, and anything else ending in "ly". Aside from "Wobbly" that is. I started this blog at the end of 2003, then after losing Bethy in 2005 I didn't have the will to continue, but restarted it in December, 2005, and have been blogging solidly since, and have just passed the 25,000 visitor mark.

I've dealt with my personal grief at losing Bethany, dealt with the loss of other family members this year - two grandparents - as well as sickness in its many forms. I've dealt with my own physical pains as well as my mental pain. We've raised two children as best we can and are very very proud of them both, but despite everything, I've almost always had a reason to smile. I've shared almost everything in my life with all of you, and it makes me feel good knowing you come along and read my ramblings on a regular basis, no matter if the posts have been down and grey, ranting about shopping, or discussing the fine points of Warcraft or spamming the spammers.

Who knows what 2007 will hold, but I hope that it's a good year for everyone out there.

Happy New Year, and I hope you have a great night and a better next year!

-Dan, Jo, Jaysen and Tamsyn
