He Lives
Well, sort of. Obviously, I've not posted for a week. Almost to the minute, in fact. But I do have a very good excuse. "Sick as a dog" is the standard term, ManFlu is another, and probably more apt.
The weekend before Bethys birthday I started to feel ill... Headache, scratchy throat, but got on with it. Last monday, I woke up feeling like I'd been kicked by a horse. And stay kicked I did. Blocked nose, painful sinuses, constant headache, voice working/not working, aching all over, shivering, sweating, coughing up... Yuck. All in all, I was the "Before" picture in "A Picture of Health". Added to this, when I get ill, my generally painful back really lets me know that it's there, and the aching is increased tenfold, so I fidget, squirm and am very restless and sleep funny hours. I was wandering around the kitchen a few nights ago at 3am for no reason.
For a couple of days I checked my blog when I crawled out of bed, but for the most part, Mr Computer has been ignored, Jo has done pretty much everything, and I'm still feeling like the Grim Reaper after 30 seconds in the microwave. I AM on the mend, but I think this is my annual nasty bug. Either that or I've got MRSA, Bird Flu, Mad Cow Disease or Rabies. All from Jo, no doubt.
So yes, I AM alive, I'm not really kicking, but I do feel awful (physically) and just want to curl up somewhere. Maybe with boobies ;)
