Musical Monday #39 - Apologise

It has been said that I am a deep, introspective, thoughtful, mindful person. I see the small nuances in most things, that I can read people pretty well, and generally read and feel everything.

It could also be said, however, that I am about as deep as a puddle of piss. Some days I listen to music and love the music regardless of the context of the song. I've had messages from people in the past after posting various Musical Monday songs, asking if I am OK, if there is anything on my mind I want to discuss, and that my message seemed to be - and I quote - A silent cry for help.

Erm, no. I just like the music :)

Such is the case in this, er, case. I heard this on the radio a few days back and thought "ooooh" and as usual, forgot. Heard it today in the pub and didn't catch it on my phone TrackID thingie. Then it was on the radio this evening and Ruth - being a bigger font of useless shit than me in some cases - told me about it.

OneRepublic Ft. Timberland - Apologise is just a nice relaxing song. It may well have deep, meaningful lyrics ("It's too late to apologize, it's too late") that people probably hear and think it refers to me and my life. No, it doesn't, I just like this song.

Now, usually, this is where I slap the lyrics, however, I need to have a wee bit of a moan. See, this song is commonly known as being Timberland Ft. OneRepublic. However, after poking around, it turns out that Timberland - sorry, Timbaland - contribution to this song is him singing "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" in the background here and there. I think he gets his name on it thanks to this part of this Wikipedia article:
OneRepublic's song "Apologize" was prominently featured on Timbaland's 2007 release Shock Value. The song was released as the single in its original form on the band's album debut.
Anyways, I think that's enough of a moan. For those interested - if anyone - here are the lyrics for the song. And no, I am not posting it with hidden messages or anything.
I'm holding on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground
I'm hearin what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

I'd take another chance, take a fall
Take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat
But it's nothin new
I loved you with a fire red-
Now it's turning blue, and you say...
"Sorry" like the angel heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
It's too late to apologize, yeah
I said it's too late to apologize, yeah-
I'm holdin on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground...
