A Contradiction
This weekend has been - without a doubt - a complete contradiction of itself. It dragged on by, lazily, at it's own pace, edging on boring. But, I just seem to have been really busy without actually achieving anything. The last few days have been like it. Very strange.
We watched Memoirs of a Geisha last night, despite several people saying "That's not your sort of film Dan!". Pah, not my sort of film. We sat here and loved every minute of it. Granted, I've heard the book is much better, but I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the book version, despite being an avid book worm... Maybe I'll see if I can pick it up, have a read and see what happens.
Speaking of books, one of my favorite authors died three days ago. David Gemmell had been through heart-bypass surgery a couple of weeks back, but suffered some sort of complication. The joys of smoking eh? Think about that next time you light up.
Anyways, no doubt Jo has random plans for today which involves me actually having to do stuff. Best I catch up on my mails, then duck and cover ;) She's currently doing a post for her blog, so go have a peek.
In the next few days I'll be updating my "Blogs I Read" list - it's getting stupid! hehe

Read the book. It's brilliant. Much better than the film, which I did quite enjoy also.
I read that Alan Carr, the Stop Smoking guy, has lung cancer; what a tragic irony.
I read the book. Very good book, havent seen the movie
I'm going to buy a copy as I thought the film was really good, that coming from a Bourne Supremacy addict!
