I think the problem is that when you are good at problem solving in one area, you automatically become qualified in every trade that usually takes 4 years study.

By the way, I have this problem with some software ..... just Yoking.

Oh yeah ... I forgot to say I am an electronics technician by trade having worked at a Radio Station for 7 years and with another organisation for 7 years.

On leaving the interview for the job I now have, the interviewer noticed my electronics qualifications (which were not being used in this job) and asked me whether I fix VCRs.

Needless to say I don't tell people that I have electronic engineering quals ... and I didn't fix their video either when I got the job ... they did ask me a couple of times again but ...

Try being a teacher! And on a quiet saturday night you either get calls or msn's popping up left, right and centre asking about a child's levelling, their reading books, how to deal with speech and language etc etc.
Mostly I dont mind at all but I have those 'moody' days over it too where I wish they'd all bugger off.

Are you more cheery today?
