(Anti) Social Circles

What is it with people? I mean, back when you were at school, people (back then, referred to as Kids) were just childish. If you were friends with someone that others didn't agree with, you were on the receiving end of the brush-tarring. Rumours that applied to the enemy applied to you, and the rumour mill would turn and churn.

It was a big old crapfest.

Earlier this year, it started amid adults. Real life, older that 11 years old grown ups. I mentioned it before (I'm sure of it), but somehow, now I am getting dragged into the shit storm, and frankly, it just pisses me off.

Persons A, B, C and Couple D were all friends, with me and Jo included. Couple D went off Person B, but remained good friends with Person C. Person A plus Me & Jo tried to remain in the middle. The rumour mill churned it's shit, Persons C and A had words, Persons B and C had issues, Persons A and B became friends, Couple D went off Person B, because me and Jo associate with Person B and Person A, we're now also assholes, even though we're also friends with Person C.

Honestly, I get it from all angles, the kids of Couple D aren't allowed to play with the kids of Person B, Jaysen gets caught in between that shit as well... Couple D are friends with "known" people in the area, who also hate Person B, and that little circle has come to blows, police involvement, kids watching adults fight, and the rumour mill still spews it's childish shit.

GROW THE FUCK UP PEOPLE!

I wouldn't mind, but before Couple D stopped talking to me, I had a conversation with them on a school run about respect. Kids don't show respect any more, and even if you don't like someone, at least have the decency to just avoid them, not talk to them, and so on. For goodness sake, I wish people would put into practice the things they whine about.

So, because I associate a lot with Person A, Couple D are now sneering and staring at me. I couldn't give a shit. I probably don't help matters by appearing completely oblivious to this fact, and smiling/greeting them every time I see them, and saying Hi to their youngest - who is in the same year group as Jaysen.

Ugh, I am fairly certain Limp Bizkit had the right idea with their song "Break Stuff":

The "He Said/She Said" crap is what drives this rubbish, and if everyone that just disliked everyone else avoided those people, my life would be sooo much easier.
