Musical Monday #22 - Star Trekking

There are songs that have been released over the years which make utter one, single word...

"Huh?"

This is one of those cases. Waaay back in the dim, distant reaches of 1987 (heh, I was 10/11 years old!), this song kicked so much butt it wasn't even funny. So great was this song, it actually reached #1 in the UK Charts. It actually knocked Whitney Houston off the top spot...

Like ALL things that you remember with nostalgia, The Firm - Star Trekking is so bad you can't help but enjoy it. Well, in theory. It IS amusing, the video is ultra-dire, and even a trained monkey can pick up the words and sing along.

Stuart, this one's for you... You sad old geek you...

Ahhhhhhhhh. You've just got to love that song - People go on about what a crap record it was, but it can't have been that bad since enough copies were sold for it to reach number one in June 1987!

Give me The Firm over modern day tripe that is in the current charts ANYDAY!!!

Hey, maybe they should re-release it to coincide with the release of the new Trek movie next year!!!!! It could be next summers party anthem in Ibiza and places like that!
