Insane Fear
For those either A) Young, or B) Not a Brit, then you've probably never heard of Bagpuss. It's an oooold program that was on when I was a kid, and for some reason, the striped-demon-possessed cat scared the willies out of me. I still don't know why, but whatever it was, watching it now makes me cringe. Someone has put a bit of an episode up on YouTube:

At least MY fear was founded! A GREEN cat with a space helmet verses a cute fluffy pink cat who has a friend called Emily - who would that make freakier?!
I LOVE Bagpuss. He's adorable.
I loved bagpuss too, but you obviously grew up to love Cats, just how many do you have now??
