And It Hit The Fan

Edit: 20:41 - Jo's nan passed away an hour ago, quite suddenly and without warning. Jo got to say goodbye this afternoon, and while I tried to be optimistic for her, it looked grim from the outset.

Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers.

-Dan & Jo

Jo got a call about an hour ago - her nan has been rushed into hospital, and by all accounts, things are looking as bad as they can be. She has had an aneurysm in her head for a while now, and it looks like it might have burst.

From the calls, it would appear she has anything from a few hours to a few days left. Jo has gone up there now to see what is happening and, if need be, to say her goodbyes.

As morbid as it might sound, we've already steeled ourselves for the fact that if she does go, it's likely her funeral will be held in the same place as Bethys, which means facing that again.

Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers - we still don't have much of an idea what is happening, so I will update later.

Edit 17.25: Jo is back now. Nan is awake but looks like crap, pale and waxey-yellow tinge. She's finding it hard to breath, on oxygen with facemask. She's been given blood and is on a drip, plus has been given meds to prevent her bleeding ulcer. It could be that she's bleeding inside and will start to pick up, or there is more going on. It would appear the hospital is "waiting and seeing", so not all doom and gloom just yet. Her aneurysm is actually in her heart, not her head, and I don't know if that could be the cause or not. In short, we seem to know very little about what is wrong and what is being done to fix it... Just have to wait I suppose. More when I know anything.
